Since 1858 Northfield Cutlery has been the epitome of quality American craftsmanship. With the Northfield UN-X-LD trademark, these knives were made one at a time by hands that understood quality and pride in the ability to produce it.
Today the Northfield Cutlery trademark is held by Great Eastern Cutlery, and they are just as serious about these ideas as their counterparts 150 years ago. Production started at the Cyclops Steel Works factory in 2006 by two gentlemen well known in the cutlery industry. Northfield Cutlery would be their premium line of pocket knives produced by proud hands of cutlers deeply experience in the Titusville PA cutlery industry.
Bill Howard and Ken Daniels combined forces and have made Great Eastern Cutlery, Northfield UN-X-LD Cutlery, and Tidioute Cutlery known worldwide for the quality and heavy duty usability, much faster than anyone thought possible. In a time when American cutlery icons were closing their doors, Northfield Cutlery has earned its place in the history books and collectible knife prices guides just the same.
Northfield UN-X-LD knives are known for the fancy blade swedges, lined / dimpled / slanted bolsters, and mirror finished blades. If you have not tried one of these in your pocket or display case, you are truly missing a piece of history.
